Shiori (しおり, Shiori^?) is a minor character in Non Non Biyori. Her father is a local policeman. She is younger than Renge Miyauchi and calls her "onee-chan" (elder sister).

Shiori is a cute girl with short brownish-pink hair tied into two tails, and turquoise eyes.

She usually wears bright colors

She is a entusiastic and curious girl girl, but she has a shy side i with Renge whom she adores and sees as her as a big sister.

She loves her mother.

She was afflicted when her mother went into labor and almost ended up crying because of it.

She was happy when she found out she would have a little sister.

In Non Non Biyori Remember, she has a good relationship with Kasumi. She seems to love her baby sister and enjoys playing with her.

Renge Miyauchi[]

Renge helped her when Shiori got lost. They immediately became friends.

She seems to admire her, since she sees her as an older sister. Renge seems to enjoy her role as the older sister and teaching her all sorts of things.

When her mother went into labor, Renge grabbed her hand to reassure her.

She seems to get along with Natsumi. When they met for the first time, she called her "Messy hair oneesan", much to her annoyance. Natsumi helped her ask Renge to play because Shiori was initially too shy.

She says that Shiori has a strong "Rengeism".

Etymology[]

"Shiori" can mean "bookmark", if written with the kanji 栞.
According to her father, Shiori gets lost easily
